Founded by friends Tasos and Alex, Brother Marcus draws inspiration from the abundant warmth and generosity of East Med communities — where sunny Southern Europe meets the vibrant Middle East.

With multiple locations across London and more on the way, we teamed up with our strategic partners Creative Family to evolve the restaurant’s visual identity and lay down solid foundations for the future.

East Med craft and culture were our muse. We worked with makers and designers from the region — echoing Brother Marcus’ menu philosophy. Fonts sourced from Athens and Istanbul, a colour palette drawn from local produce, and regionally milled papers all contributed to a tactile, layered identity. The logo, inspired by Greece’s shipping heritage, reflects the quirky, hand-painted industrial lettering found on Greek cargo vessels.

Alongside a comprehensive range of core touchpoints like menus and signage, we developed more unexpected layers of storytelling. Efimerida, a series of travel journals, documents the team’s research trips and culinary discoveries. A custom hallmark-style maker’s mark appears on everything they create — from ceramics to publications — reinforcing a sense of craft and authenticity.

The result is a brand experience full of joy and texture — deeply grounded in the culture that inspired it.
